I went to see the remaining three puppies in Deirdre Viney's litter with a view to using their father on one of my bitches, but immediately fell in love with Hamish and brought him home with me, and this  is a decision I have never regretted. Hamish is a very loving bubbly boy with the most wonderful temperament, which he has passed on to all his children who now share our home. I always say his children are collectable, and I describe him as drop dead gorgeous with come to bed eyes. Thank you Deirdre for allowing me to have Hamish, he has brought such joy and love.

Freddie came back to us at six months because he was still not dry in the house and his owners had been hitting him because of this. For six months I allowed Freddie to have his puppy hood back and never chastised him for anything. Lots of chewed objects and a very bare kitchen work surface and may I add quite a few grey hairs later it all paid off with the emergence of the most beautiful dog I have ever owned. It was the luckiest day of my life when Freddie came back to stay. I describe him as the equivalent to a blond bombshell with brains. There is not a bad bone in his body, and he has paid me back sevenfold in the love he gives. I thought his father was out of this world but Freddie is just the TOPS.

Bill is named after my own late dear father. He has all the characteristics of his own father and grandfather rolled into one, but whereas they are both Pale-Golden in colour, he takes after his mother and is Mid-Golden. His expression just melts me and I find it hard to deny him anything when he looks at me with his dark loving eyes. His favourite place is sitting next to us on the settee at night. You couldn't wish for a more intelligent boy, all of his brothers and sisters have turned out to have excellent temperaments, and have been quick to learn everything they have been taught, his sister Elouise (Orlas She's So Special) lives with us too and his brother Milo (Orlas Special Ambassador)  lives with my daughter and her four children

Meet Harry he joined our boys at stud in 2004 and has proved to be an excellent stud dog.

He was such an easy puppy and fit in with the rest of the boys and girls here without any fuss.

Harry is more human than doggie and has such a regal manner which is why we call him King Harry.

He continues to sire us good sized litters and passes his lovely head and winning ways on to his children.

This picture of Ben was taken when he was a baby by Peter Glick, I will update it as soon as I have taken one good enough to replace it, but Peter is a hard act to follow! 

 

Ben was hip X-rayed and they look REALLY good, so fingers crossed the "Panel" are not marking too hard.

Ben's hips came back as 6:6 very good I hear you say, yes they are but they should have been lower, they were the best x-ray plates I have seen in any of my breeding in twenty odd years and they should have been below a total of 10, it just shows what a lottery it is when you send in the plates, it depends on who is on the panel and maybe what mood they are in on the day they score your plates.

Ben is yet another gorgeous boy to join the ORLAS team of Stud Dogs.
I keep saying our dogs can't get any better but they just keep proving me wrong.

Well, I really don't know how we do it but our boys just seem to get better and better in temperament, Hector being no exception.  He is a real big teddy bear and when I say big I mean large boned and beautiful, his colour is a gorgeous rich golden. He is an absolute joy to live with, yes he is lively, but you could not wish for a sweeter nature. He loves his cuddles and lets our Stella (Guidewell Celeste to Orlas) do anything she wants with him and they play together constantly, pity she is a Labrador Retriever or this would be a match made in heaven.

Remus is one of two boys we kept from Hermione's (Orlas The Temptress) litter in 2006.
He is a lovely mid golden colour which he has inherited from his ancestors as both his parents are pale.
He has a wonderful confirmation and a beautiful nature.
Yet another boy we have Bred who we can be proud of.

Nicholas is Remus's brother but very different in type, not surprising really as the mating which produced them was an outcross one. He is Pale in colour but again doesn't really take after his Father, he is the spit and image of his Grandfather Hamish (Twilly Jack The Lad at Orlas) both in looks, with his seductive eyes and in temperament, which is gentle, quiet and loving. We hope both these lovely boys follow in their grandfathers footsteps, as he has been a wonderful sire producing us some fantastic babies and in most cases improving on both his own and the bitches hip scores.
Both these boys seem to be carrying the best attributes of our own breeding
