Twins



When I was young I always dreamed
That I would be blest with twins.
Each time that I was with child,
I prayed that my dream would come true.

First came our son Shaun,
On April Fools' Day.
Still lots of time left,
I can hear you say

Next came our daughter Ann-Marie,
Oh what a lovely sight to see.
Even now I am still young,
Maybe next time my twins will arrive.

Finally my third child Alexander,
A long awaited and much loved babe.
My time is now running out,
Maybe my dream will not be fulfilled.

Then low and behold,
Came news from my Daughter.
Who already had herself a son and a daughter.
This time it was twins!

So now we are blest,
With twins in our family.
Two beautiful girls,
Madison and Lexxie
