Sophie recently gained a
clear round at the Southern
Golden
Retriever show
and Kirsty gained two clear
rounds at the same show, followed the
following week by Sophie gaining two clear
rounds and Kirsty gaining three at the Tufley
Agility Show.

only achieved her Bronze, Silver and Gold Good
Citizen Award from the Kennel Club, she has also
qualified as a PAT dog and now visits elderly
residents in a local nursing home

Our Days
Swimming with Newfoundlands
Bosun, Huggie, Dawn and Edward
I have become great
friends with Dawn and Carol her
mother who own a Leonberger called
Sante and two St. Bernards called
Huggie and Tippi. They used to
call on Sundays after going
swimming with a group of
Newfoundland owners, and I asked
if I could go along to watch. She
had a word with Marion and Chris
who run the swimming sessions and
they said to tell me I could bring
along some of my Goldens if I
liked.
We have
only managed to go a few times
this year because of me being busy
with Hermione and Maggie babies,
but we really enjoyed our days
with these lovely people and their
beautiful dogs.
The
sessions have stopped for winter
now but we can't wait until next
year when they start again. I may
even get myself a wet suit, then I
can go into the water with all the
dogs, bearing in mind I can't
swim.
